For a new project - a massive walnut table - the wood for the table-top had to be prepared.
I had bought the american walnut for this a few weeks ago, and it was laying on the floor in the back of the workshop waiting to be worked on.
Now the first steps were taken - the pieces were cut to a width between 22cm and 30cm, the maximum our jointer is able to accept.
One side, the top and the bottom were cut with a handheld saw on a track - twice, as the blade went only 5cm deep, but the stock has a depth of 7,5cm. the other side was cut on the table-saw.
