...we had a little thunderstorm in the area, and when we checked for the boats we could see from far away that something was wrong: the Chesapeake Double had been blown off its place on the trailer.
Obviously it crashed so hard into the ground that the boats nose went several centimeters below the ground:
The power of the fall put enough strain onto the structure that the deck burst and even lost a piece:
The rest of the boat was not damaged, the whole structure is intact. The deck however will have to repaired and at the moment i am thinking about turning this area into an access to the forward compartment, turning it into a loading compartment - which it was in the original plans, but i had decided that we would not need such an cargo-area...
...well, it seems that we will get one now...
